(2013) Masai Children at Richland Resources funded school in a village near Merelani, Tanzania.

Richland has a track record of supporting the local communities in the areas where it operates through the activities of its subsidiary companies, and has a history of giving back to the community who surround our mine sites. Projects include fundraising and helping to build orphanages, schools and medical clinics, as well as water purification plants and the provision of drinking water for thousands of local cattle.

In 2013, Richland was awarded several Presidential Awards for Corporate Social Responsibility and Empowerment (CSRET) in Tanzania.

The company took first place in both the Water and the Empowerment categories, and was second in both the Education and Employment categories. The company also won second place overall in the Medium Scale Mineral Projects Category.
